Just as a Warning....

Yep... This is a warning. If you have an Android/iPhone.... it's time for you to see what is happening.

There was a newsarticle recently in the Sunday Times in UK, with the headline 'Tap, tap, tapping us all up - mobile apps invade privacy'

Yes, they do invade. They can read your contacts, your texts, but only same can do various. I have taken a picture of those apps. Sorry the picture is bad Razz Taking pictures at quater to nine in the dark isn't the best thing or time in the world...

PS. I don't know if this is happening all around the world though... but this is just a warning... bounce

Thanks! If you turn your location services off, then they shouldn't be able to know where you are, but the other stuff, I don't know if there is a way to do that.

I have an Android Phone, And I have a Galaxy Pad. And incase you didn't notice before you download any of those Apps it shows A Warning of what the Apps Will/Can Use. (Browser History, Contacts, Location, Texts, Contacts, Camera, Email Address, Delete or Modify Content, ETC. ). If you don't trust the Company or Developer; Don't download it. If you do, Go right ahead. But, Always Be aware that there are also some People who will create Look-A-Like Apps that can use your location, And That could have Dangerous and disastrous Outcomes.

But, Speaking for myself, I could careless about Apps reading My Texts, I have nothing to hide. Razz

I knew I was right to delete the Facebook app Razz, EU are looking for way more protection for customers of online services so hopefully all this privacy risk issues can be put to rest.

Thankfully, I don't have an iPod Touch or an Android so I'm kinda safe at the moment, but I'm thinking of getting a Touch...

It would be pretty safe. Just do not download any apps that invade privacy. It shows a warning before downloading.

Yeah. I am gonna like get a Touch when I have £63 pounds more saved up, and I"m gonna avoid those apps in the picture... Plus, I wouldn't get the Facebook app as 1) I don't have Facebook 2) I won't ever get Facebook as they invade your privacy. Also, my dad just told me that Google can from now on, look at your web browsing history and make a data profile about you and what you buy on Ebay, what you search on Google. You can delete your own browsing history on Google.com here - [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
